Craig Travis Ellis, 37, passed away on December 12, 2022. He was born in Suffolk, VA to Sharon Johnson and Glenn Ellis. He worked for Hall Automotive, where he was a Chrysler Master Technician. Craig was a passionate musician who played the bass guitar in a number of bands over the years; most recently the local reggae band, Four Roots.

Craig loved to be at home on his Maefield Farm but also had a wanderlust and desire to explore the world. Some of his favorite destinations were France, Scotland, Costa Rica, Jamaica and San Diego. Just this year, he spent time in Key West and in New Orleans for Mardi Gras; an experience he wanted to relive annually. No summer was complete for Craig without a visit to the beaches of Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and Delaware. He was fortunate enough to live within walking, biking or golf carting distance to a private beach on the James River, where many great memories were made with friends and family. His Days Point community and neighbors were an impactful part of his life.

Craig is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Mary Alison Ellis; his parents; sister, Jennifer Lynne Ellis; brother, Justin Glenn Ellis; grandmother, Mary Carol Ellis; Parents in-law, Mark and Susan Potter; brother in-law, Seth Potter; Countless friends who he considered family; loving animals: horses, Pie and Choco; dogs, Penelope, Roxie, and Bernie; and cats, Tux and Margo.

Craig's celebration of life will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Tommy Reynolds officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Mr. Mo Project ( https://www.mrmoproject.com/ ) or The Isle of Wight County Humane Society.
