Connie Carol Holland Cox, 54, of Virginia Beach, VA passed away November 18, 2011. She was born in Suffolk, VA the daughter of the late Joseph Milton Holland and Elizabeth Ann Braswell Holland. Connie was a member of Pine Grove Assembly of God. She was also a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress. She served as team mother for the Cooke-Hokies Football Team.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Melissa Renea Dent and husband, Joe; son, Gene Fulton Wood and wife, Sarah; Gabriel Graham Herring and wife, Sara; 9 grandchildren, Dwayne, Kris, Noelle, Brooke, Dallas, Madison, Emmitt, Gabriel Jr., Elissa; sisters, Nancy Holland Lewing of Spurger, TX, Patricia Ann Holland of Emporia, VA; brother, Robert Earl Holland of Williamsburg, VA.

A funeral service will be held Monday, November 21, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Charles Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family Sunday night from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
