Cindy Ann Ryberg Montel's Obituary
While surrounded by her loving family and friends, Cindy passed away peacefully on January 6, 2010 at Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
A native of LaCrescent, MN, she was the daughter of Lawrence William Ryberg and Constance Jean McCormick Ryberg. She retired as an E8, Cryptologic Technician Maintenance Senior Chief from the U. S. Navy after having served her country from March 1988 through October 2009 encompassing Desert Storm, and the current Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Brady Montel; daughter Logan and son David, all of Suffolk; her parents, Lawrence Ryberg and Constance McCormick Ryberg; sister and brother-in-law, Nichole Subera (Darrell) all of LaCrescent, MN; Virginia Cote (Larry) of Fergus Falls, MN; paternal grandmother, Rose Marie Ryberg and maternal grandmother, Lucille Biron, both of St. Paul, MN; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Cindy was known for her shopping, napping, cooking, traveling, wine tasting, sense of humor, decorating, enjoyment of reading, style, and most of all love of family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to the American Lung Association, P. O. Box 35010, Richmond, VA 23235. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com
