Chuck Reginal Rountree, 69, of Suffolk, Virginia passed away on April 17, 2022. Son of June Rountree Hood and the late Vernon Kirkman Rountree, Chuck was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country through the U.S. Marine Corps. He is a retired technician from Virginia Natural Gas and a member of Suffolk Christian Church.

Chuck is also predeceased by his son Kirkman A. Rountree. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, June Rountree Hood, wife, Betty Jean Rountree, daughters, Samantha Rountree Brown (Steven), Tammi J. Rountree, grandchildren Donnie and Brittany Lamar, Nik Umphlette and Alex Brown, great grandchild, Juniper Lamar and siblings Edie Rountree Matthews and Gene Rountree.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Holly Lawn Cemetery on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in honor of Chuck to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
