Charlotte Marie McClenny Jernigan, 81, passed away on July 6, 2023. She was born in Nansemond Co, VA to the late Lessie Copeland and Lonnie McClenny. She is also predeceased by her husbands, Harry Winborne Sr. and Roy Rogers Jernigan, whom she was married to for 45 years. She was a former member of the Suffolk Moose Lodge #141. As a homemaker, prior to her Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis, she enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, and cooking. Later on in life, she enjoyed sitting on her front porch to watch the birds.

Charlotte is survived by her children, Vicky Askew, Wayne Winborne, Brad Winborne (Tami), Teresa Richardson, Debbie Smith (Roger), and Carol Cooke (John); 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Faye Babb; and brother, Buddy McClenny (Wanda).

Charlotte's funeral service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Larry Parker officiating. Burial will follow the service at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, July 10, 2023 at the funeral home between 6-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Arthritis Foundation.
