Charlie Leroy Turner, Jr., 65, of Suffolk, VA passed away November 23, 2008. He was born in Isle of Wight County the son of the late Grace Nellie McClenny Turner and Charlie Leroy Turner. He retired after 30 years as a welder for Amadas Industries. He was predeceased by his wife, Virgie Turner and a son, Richard Turner.

Charlie is survived by his sons, Michael and Chris Turner, granddaughter, Brittany Ann Turner; 7 sisters, Marjorie Copeland of Suffolk, Christine Cameron of Petersburg, Evelyn Williams of Petersburg, Betty Daughtrey of Franklin, Mary Turner of Chester, Margaret Turner of Petersburg, and Audrey Turner of Petersburg, 1 brother, Clifton Turner of North Carolina.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 12 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with Rev. Roger D. Johnson officiating.
