Charlie McCoy Simpson, Jr., 65, passed away February 7, 2015. He was born in Gates County, NC the son of the late Mable Crawford Simpson and Charlie McCoy Simpson, Sr. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army National Guard during Vietnam. He was a member of Holy Neck Christian Church.

McCoy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sylvia H. Simpson; son and daughter-in-law, Craig Wade Simpson (Kim); grandchildren, Krista, Taylor, Grace, and J.W.; two sisters; and 1 brother.

A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Holland Cemetery with Rev. Drew Mountcastle officiating.
