Charlie Wiggins Russell, 82, passed away June 3, 2020.  He was born in Nansemond County, VA the son of the late Raleigh Russell and Erma Wiggins Russell.  He was predeceased by his nephew, Timmy Russell.  Charlie grew up working on a farm and later went on to work for numerous years as a salesman for various retail stores in Suffolk.  Later in life he worked as a funeral assistant for Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  He was a lifelong and very active member of Great Fork Baptist Church.

Charlie is survived by his sisters, Mary Anne Nickerson and Betty Russell; niece and nephews, Jennifer Jessee (Emmett), David Nickerson, Russell Nickerson (Shelly), and Chris Nickerson; grandchildren, Morgan, Jaime, Camden, Avery, and Wyatt.

A graveside service will be held Monday, June 8, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Gardner and Rev.
