Charlie K. Raiford, 59, of Suffolk, VA passed away on October 6, 2013. A native of Suffolk, VA he was the son of the late Henry William Raiford and Thelma Pope Raiford and also predeceased by a sister, Cynthia Sue Woodley. He retired after 32 ½ years from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, where he was a Woodcrafter Supervisor in Shop 64. Charlie was a member of Trinity Christian Church and a member of Suffolk Moose Lodge No. 141.

He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Tammy Lynn Raiford; a son Charles Michael Raiford; three grandchildren: Charles M. Raiford, Jr., Nathan J. Raiford and Ava N. Raiford, all of Suffolk.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Christian Church, with Chaplain Donald Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
