Charles Thomas Whitmore, 79, of Suffolk, Virginia passed away September 29 2022. Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Supervisor in X36 at Newport News Shipbuilding. He was a member of First Baptist Church Suffolk and a life member of Suffolk Moose Lodge #141.

In addition to his parents, Joseph William Whitmore and Helen Howell Whitmore, Charles is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Diane Warren Whitmore and siblings Melba, JoAnn and Wesley. Left to cherish his memory are his son Brian Keith Whitmore and granddaughter Lacey Marie Whitmore and brothers Robert Whitmore and Fred Whitmore and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home in Suffolk. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Suffolk with Dr. Kevin Eley and Dr. Thurman Hayes Jr. officiating with burial following at Meadowbrook Memorial Garden.
