CWO Charles Dethaniel Wade, 76, passed away June 13, 2018. He was born in Mecklenburg Co., NC to the late Cornelius Banks Wade and Lillie Lenthiel Wade Seco. Charles retired after 36 years of service in the US Army as a CWO having served during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the D.A.V. Cradock Chapter #41 and V.F.W. Post 933.

Charles is survived by his daughter, April E. Hill (Jeff); son, Brian D. Wade (Ashley); grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin, Madison, Tiffani, Brianna, Emerson; great grandchildren, Cameron, Khloe; sisters, Ann W. McCall, Vicky C. Wade; brother, James  Hall (Sue) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held, Friday, June 22, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Tom Potter officiating. A time of visitation will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 and at other times at the residence.
