Charles Orie Snook, 74, of Suffolk, VA passed away October 8, 2010. He was born in Nansemond County the son of the late William Amos Snook and Mattie Louise Carr Snook. He was predeceased by his sister, Lucy Bradshaw and brother, William "Billy" Snook, Jr. Charles served in the National Guard and retired as a Parts Manager for Nansemond Tractor. He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and an honorary member of the Davis - Ridley Hunt Club in Southampton County. He was also a member of the Bethlehem Ruritan Club for many years where he served as a former treasurer.

Charles is survived by his wife of 53 years, Louise Piland Snook of Suffolk; daughter, Jenny Snook Price and husband, Alex of Hope Mills, NC; son, Barry Keith Snook and wife, Sharon of Suffolk; grandchildren, Melissa Snook, Matthew Price, and Brandon Snook; sister, Elizabeth Wilhide of Wanchese, NC.

A funeral service will be held Monday, October 11, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev. Micah Voight officiating.
