Retired CWO4 Charles Louis Irwin, 75, passed away October 19, 2018.  He was born in Granite City, IL the son of the late Chester Lewis Irwin and Pauline Ann Harper Irwin.  Charles was a retired United States Navy Veteran having served during Vietnam.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 18 years, Rayola Irwin, his step daughter Joy Bowden and spouse, Melvin Bowden Sr; grandsons Cameron Jilg and Melvin Bowden Jr.; step son Keith McCoy. Charlie is also survived by two children from his first marriage of 15 years to Merri Irwin-Louk, son Michael Irwin; daughter Barbara Irwin-Smith and spouse, Garry Smith; grandson Nicholas Callis and spouse, Kayla Callis; 5 great grandchildren; granddaughter Adrianna Gibson and spouse, Ashlie Gibson; 2 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service with military honors will be held Monday, October 29, 2018 at 3 pm at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with Chaplain Donald McMillan officiating.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the D.A.V.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com .
