Charles "Charlie" Elliott Babb, 86, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025 at his residence surrounded by family and friends.  He was born in Suffolk, VA the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert and Edna Babb.  Charlie was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Alice Baines Babb; and his brother, Clarence L. Babb.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories 3 children, Becky Bazinet (Rick), Troy Babb (Tennie), and Todd Babb (Elizabeth); 6 grandchildren, Trent Byrd (Ashley), Travis Byrd (Ashley), Billy Babb (Eryn), Hunter Babb, Crystal Stuart, and William Giles; 6 great grandchildren, Waylon, Ella, Tevin, Zane, Tristan, Reagan, and baby Lacie arriving soon.

Charlie retired working as a supervisor for Tidewater Research Station after 38 years.  Charlie is described by his family as a man who knew the Lord and loved him.  A loving dad and provider who always would do anything for anyone.  A man of few words, always giving of his time and his heart.  He was also known to some as Granddaddy or Charlie Babb.  He was a member of Liberty Spring Church with strong ties to Cypress Chapel.  He was a man so full of energy who believed intensely on the importance of family.  Dad you have given so much and asked for so little in return.  Thank you for always being there for us, for teaching us, listening to us, helping us, and helping mom to pave the way for us.  We will continue to uphold your legacy, as well as moms.  We love and miss you.

Family and friends may join the family for the visitation on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Troy Babb officiating.  Burial will follow at Liberty Spring Christian Church Cemetery.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
