Charles Cleveland Johnson, III "Cleve", 69, born September 23, 1953, died November 27, 2022 after a two-year battle with cancer.  He is survived by his son, "CC"; mother and father, Ann and Charles, Jr.; sister, Cheryl "CJ"; and uncle; cousins; and very special friend, Elaine Richardson.

Cleve graduated from John Yeates High School and the University of Richmond.  Once he returned to Chuckatuck, Cleve purchased his grandparents' home and became an active member of the community.  He was a member of Oakland Christian Church and an active long-standing member of the Chuckatuck Volunteer Fire Department.

Cleve found his passion as the owner and operator of CC Johnson Trucking.  He loved being on the road, driving his truck and talking to his buddies on the radio.  When he was not working, Cleve was with his son or friends hunting, fishing, vacationing at the Cavalier Hotel in the Outer Banks, and watching the car races and Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.  Cleve was a very devoted father, worker, and friend.  He led a very humble, simple country life and will be missed greatly.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev.
