Charles John Bos, 80, passed away February 16, 2025.  He was born in Everett, WA the son of the late Richard John Bos and Naomi Ruth Errington Bos.  He was predeceased by his wife of 20 years, Linda Catherine Montgomery-Bos; step mother, Zella Bos; and siblings, Ruth May Nelson and Richard "Dick" Bos.  Charlie retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 5 from the United States Army, during which time he served in numerous campaigns and operations including the Vietnam War, Korean War, and Operations Desert Storm and Desert Sheild.  He was a highly decorated veteran; his awards included the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Bronze Star Medal, three Purple Hearts, and numerous others.  Charlie was a member of Open Door Church where he served as the Security Team Leader.  He was also a member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association, Purple Heart Association, and Pointman Ministries.  Charlie and Linda also owned and operated Wing's Shadow Ranch, which they used to train horses, help veterans, and provide solace to those who needed it.

Charlie is survived by his children and their spouses, John E. Bos (Michelle), Christy A. Bos (Garth), Rebekah C. Smith (Kevin), Sarah L. Montgomery, Eli S. T. Bos (Michelle), and William F. Montgomery III (Sarah); 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Birdie Nelson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Open Door Church, 816 Kings Fork Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Pastors Tony and Kathy Peaks officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the church.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
