Cecil Thomas Edwards, 59, of Windsor, VA passed away on November 15, 2012. A native of Nansemond County, VA he was the son of the late William Thomas Edwards and Mary Elizabeth Dickerson Edwards. He was also predeceased by a sister, Violet Stafford and a brother, William H. Edwards. Cecil was a mechanic employed by the City of Suffolk and enjoyed fishing.


He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shaun and Angela Edwards; sisters: Toni Shank, Marion Burden, Jane Pittman, Evelyn Bristow and Edith Jean; and brothers: Dudley Edwards and Paul Edwards and numerous nieces and nephews.


A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Western Branch Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Micah Voight officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the home of Toni Shank.
