Catherine Eloise Pierce Saunders, 79, passed away on November 29, 2022. She was born in Isle of Wight Co, VA to the late Randolph and Ethel Pierce. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Tonya Mae Davis; grandson, Richard Lee Edwards; and brother, Jerry Pierce Sr. She was a school bus driver for the Isle of Wight Co. Public School System and attended Windsor Congregational Christian Church.

Catherine is survived by her husband of 20 years, John Thomas Saunders; daughter and fiancé Tammie K. Buhls and Roy Barrett; son and daughter in-law, Edward M. and Lisa V. Edwards; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and brothers and sister in-law, Bobby Ray and Francis Pierce and Jackie Pierce.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service will be on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Church with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.
