Catherine Mays Hollowell, age 79, of Suffolk, passed away on August 30, 2009. A native of Whaleyville, VA she was the daughter of the late Willie Henry Mays and Lizzie Pearl Hargrave Mays. She was also predeceased by her husband, Charles N. Hollowell.

She is survived by her sister, Eunice M. Hedgepeth of Suffolk.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk with Rev. D. V. Madison officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.
