Catherine Buzzy Mapp, 80, passed away March 18, 2014. She was born in Norfolk, VA the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Buzzy. She was predeceased by her son, David D. Duplain and step daughter, Diane M. Davis. She retired from the City of Virginia Beach as the former Deputy Commissioner of Revenue. She was a member of Haygood United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class, the U.M.W.and the Mary Woodward Circle. She was also a member of the Lion's Club and the Princess Anne Woman's Club.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Ivan D. Mapp; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Gayle Duplain; grandchildren and spouses, Lee (Nicole), J.D., Morgan, Jeff (Sara)Duplain, Mark (Wendy) Davis; and 8 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 24, 2014 at 12 noon at Haygood United Methodist Church, 4713 Haygood Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23464 with Rev. Lisa Nordan officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family for a visitation an hour prior to the service from 11a.m. - 12 noon at the church and other times at the residence.
