Catherine Turner Lilley, 80, passed away March 3, 2013. She was born in Isle of Wight County the daughter of the late George W. and Emily N. Turner. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Rufus D. Lilley; and son, Robert D. "Bobby" Lilley. Catherine retired after 34 years as a OB/GYN nurse from Louise Obici Memorial Hospital so that she could care for her grandchildren. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She loved cooking, collecting cookbooks, fishing, flying, and the Outer Banks.

Catherine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia L. and Phillip Bailey; daughter-in-law, Sherri B. Lilley; grandchildren and their spouses, Nicole Siebert (Adam), Heather Russell (Brandon), Chris Duke (Jason), Stacey Hines (Wayne), Kelly Bailey, Alicia Bailey (Leda); great grandchildren, Grace, Kearstin, Landon, Krystal, Savannah, Cameron, Braxton; brother, George W. Turner, Jr. and wife, Jessie; niece, Susan Joyner; nephew, George W. Turner, III and wife, Judy; and special dog, Angel.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Richard Moon officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation prior to the service at the funeral home from 11:30 - 1p.m. and other times at the residence of Chris and Jason Duke.
