Casper Eugene Shaffer, 64, of Suffolk, VA passed away October 30, 2010. He was born in Herndon, VA the son of the late Lavina Hall Shaffer and Charles Samuel Shaffer, Sr. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Eugene Shaffer and his brother, William H. Shaffer. Casper retired as a shop foreman for V.S. M.

Casper is survived by his daughters, Tammy L. Shaffer of Boykins, VA, Melissa S. Newcomb and husband, Bobby of Suffolk, Wanda S. Bradshaw and husband, James of Carrsville; son, David Allen Shaffer and wife Christine of Carrsville; 14 grandchildren, Anthony Togan, Richard Andrew Robertson, Amanda Shaffer, Alexa Shaffer, Bobby Newcomb, Jr., Kaitlyn Newcomb, Joseph Michael Miller, Emily Bradshaw, Cheyenne Oliver, Austin Oliver, Preston Bradshaw, Grant Bradshaw, Christian Shaffer, Samuel Shaffer; 1 great grandchild, Aalyah Togan; sister, Barbara S. Ball of West Virginia; brothers, Charles S. Shaffer, Jr. of Winchester, VA, Roy Lee Shaffer of Herndon, VA, Richard Allen Shaffer of West Virginia.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Wednesday prior to the service from 11 to 12 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434.
