Carroll Ray Turner, 82, passed away January 20, 2025.  He was born in Isle of Wight County, Virginia the son of the late Fleetwood McKinley Turner, Sr. and Margaret Sarah Hatfield Turner.  He was predeceased by his brothers, William "Peter" Turner and Franklin Turner.  Carroll retired as a Master Trooper from the Virginia State Police.

Carroll is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane Howell Turner; daughter, Daphne Turner Saul; grandchildren, Sarah Saul and Zachary Saul; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eleanor T. Wilkins (Fred) and Jackie T. Redd (Lynn); brother, Fleetwood M. Turner, Jr.; sister-in-law, Janet Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Virginia State Police Chaplain James Weidman officiating.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
