Carolyn Holland Stephenson born on February 12, 1941 went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 3, 2024. She was a loving wife, mother and Meme.  She loved God, her family, friends and animals, especially dogs and horses, raising and caring for many. She spent many days with family and friends at Lake Gaston enjoying sunbathing and water skiing. She was born and raised in Isle of Wight Co., VA to the late Morrison H. Holland and Wilma H. Holland. She was also predeceased by her sister; Shirley H. Oliver and brothers in law; William Thomas Stephenson and Johnny Joyner. She was a devoted Christian and a lifelong member of Living Hope Community Fellowship (formerly Pine Grove Assembly of God). Carolyn worked as a clerk for Bob Parson when Windsor Pharmacy first opened.

Carolyn is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, James Franklin Stephenson; son, James Russell Stephenson (Sylvia); grandchildren, James Craig Stephenson and Rebecca Lynn Stephenson; nephew, Scott Harrison; brother in law, John Oliver; sister in laws, Mary Ann Joyner, Nellie Stephenson with nieces and nephews; Lenora Adams, Tammy Lanier, Jill Fitzkee and Blake Stephenson; along with great nieces and great nephew. She had many close friends and all of you were deeply loved and appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024  at 11 a.m. at Living Hope Community Fellowship, 10001 Fire Tower Rd., Windsor, VA 23487 with Pastors Cecil Jones and Kevin Myatt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. at the church.
