Carlton Britt Strickland, Sr., age 58, of Suffolk passed away on December 17, 2007. A native of Goldsboro, NC he was the son of the late Percy Carlton Strickland and Betty Britt Strickland. He was also predeceased by a son, Carl Ellis Strickland. Carlton was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a self-employed Carpenter.

He is survived by a son, Carlton "Britt" Strickland, Jr.; two grandchildren, Jacob Blade Strickland and Reagan Nicole Strickland; three sisters, LaRoyce Nixon, Betty Strickland and Vickie Thacker; and one brother, Don Strickland.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, with Rev. Don Milner officiating. Burial will be private. Condolences may also be registered at www.parrfuneralhome.com
