Carlisle William Campbell, Sr., 80, passed away September 26, 2015. He was born in Marion, SC the son of the late Barney C. Campbell and Marguerite M. Morrison. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Mary S. Campbell. Carlisle was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He formerly worked as a chipper operator for Ben E. Babbs. He attended Bethel Assembly of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, loved the Redskins, and enjoyed racing Homer Pigeons.

Carlisle is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Carlisle W. Campbell, Jr. (Cindy), Barney Campbell (Laura), Kenneth Campbell; grandchildren and their spouses, Corey Campbell (Bethany), Krystal Jermstad (Kenny), Tiffany Campbell, Brian Campbell, LCPL Timothy Carter, Nicholas Campbell, Carlie Campbell; great grandchildren, Paige and Natalie Campbell, Hayden Campbell; sisters, Betty Jo Holland, Barbara Ann White, and Mary Frances Best; sister-in-law, Pearlie Campbell, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. T.R. King officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Friends may join the family Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. and other times at the residences of Carlisle, Jr. and Barney.
