June 21, 1984 – May 29, 2025
Brendan James Miller passed peacefully at home on May 29, 2025. Born June 21, 1984 at Portsmouth Naval Hospital to Suzanne Heard Miller and Herbert James Miller. The family moved to Suffolk in 1985.
He was a 2002 graduate of Lakeland High School and the Pruden Vo-Tech Center. An accomplished carpenter, he and a fellow student won first place in Carpentry at the Virginia State Fair.
He was also an Eagle Scout and did his Eagle project with help from fellow scouts with a prayer garden at St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church.
He is survived by his parents; son, Kadan Livingstone; brother, Corey A. Miller (wife, Tina); nieces, Brianna Miller and Summer Miller; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his former sister-in-law, Lorie Fancher.
He was an excellent carpenter and home renovator, gardener, landscaper, and enjoyed fishing, drawing, cooking, writing, and especially being at the beach and camping at Cherrystone Campground on the Eastern Shore with extended family.
A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
