Brenda Yvonne Phelps Strickland, 75, went to her eternal home on March 7, 2023.  She was born in Creswell, NC the daughter of the late William Douglas Phelps and Katie Mann Phelps.  She graduated from Holland High School in 1965.  Brenda retired as a lab technician from Lipton Tea Company where she worked for over 40 years.  She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Coy A. Strickland where they built a lifetime of making memories traveling through all 50 states.  She was a dedicated mom to her daughter, Carla A. Moore (Art); and supportive Mema to her grandchildren, Courtney Hoffpauir (Madison), Myranda Waugh, Barrett Moore, and Mitch Moore; sisters, Diana David (John), Macey Robertson (Dennis), and Sherry Phelps; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Sunday afternoon from 3-4 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence of Carla and Art Moore.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
