Brenda Wyatt Byrum, 60, passed away March 4, 2008 surrounded by her loving family and friends after a short battle with cancer.

She was born in Suffolk the daughter of the late James "Finnie" and Elizabeth Wyatt. She was also predeceased by a brother Richard "Budlee" Wyatt, two nephews and a niece.

She was a Christian and an active member of Suffolk's Women of the Moose. Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Wendy Byrum Langston and her father, Wayne Parker Byrum, two grandchildren, Brittany Ann Johnson and Trevor Wayne Langston, four brothers, Finnie Wyatt, Jr. and wife Doloris of Downey, CA, Shelton Wyatt and friend Chris of Portsmouth, Ernest "PeeWee" Wyatt and wife Linda of Suffolk, Roland "Mike" Wyatt and wife Mary of Timberville, VA, three sisters, Dora Willis and husband, Thomas "Runt", Iris "Butch" Jones all of Suffolk, Ora Jean Jernigan of Franklin; a sister-in-law, Peggy Wyatt of Hobbsville, NC; half sister, Betty Lou Upton and husband J.C. of Elizabeth City, NC, many loving nieces and nephews and other close relatives. Brenda will also be missed by close friends Jean Roberts and Fran Whitley and her extended moose family.

A graveside service with Moose Rites will be held Friday, March 7, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Ray Hampton and Chaplain William Morris officiating. Friends may join the family Thursday night from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA and other times at the residence of Runt and Dora Willis, 706 Turlington Rd., Suffolk, VA.
