Bonnie Jernigan Gooding, 53, of Suffolk, VA passed away on February 8, 2012. A native of Nansemond County, VA she was the daughter of the late Woodrow A. Jernigan and Ora Jean Wyatt Jernigan. She was also predeceased by her brother, Robert Lee Jernigan. Bonnie was a school teacher's assistant in the Suffolk Public School System.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Robert E. Gooding, Jr,; son, Nathan Gooding; sister and brother-in-law, Shelia D. and Jim Ward, Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, J. Roland Jernigan and Lauren C. Jernigan; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Carrie Gooding; sisters-in-law, Francis Gooding and Barbara Dale; brother-in-law Steven Gooding; nieces: Ashley Daughtrey, Lindsey Jernigan, Elizabeth Ward, Michelle Viars, Christine Dale, Carrie Dale and Jennifer Dale; nephews: Chad Jernigan and Wyatt Jernigan.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk with Rev. Ray Hampton and Rev. Ronnie Wyatt officiating.
