Bobbie Jean Cofield Byrd, 81, passed away January 3, 2022.  She was born in Bertie County, NC the daughter of the late James Abner Cofield and Mary Sue Rawls Cofield.  She was predeceased by her son, Timothy G. Byrd.  Bobbie worked as a pharmacy technician for the Louise Obici Memorial Hospital Pharmacy.

Bobbie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Gerald Hilton Byrd; son, Michael H. Byrd; grandchildren, William Trent Byrd, Travis Wayne Byrd, Katherine Ann Byrd, Cassie Anita Baines; great grandchildren, Tevin Byrd, Graice Goral, Karis Derrick, and Laci Baines; sisters, Edith Palmer and Merle Groves; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service will be held inside the chapel of Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Hunter officiating.  Friends may join the family for a visitation Thursday from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G.
