Blanche Virginia Hitt George, 71, of Suffolk, VA passed away November 15, 2007. She was born in Weston, West Virginia the daughter of the late Robert Burton Hitt and Dollie Blanche Montgomery Hitt. She was a homemaker and a member of New Temple Grove Ministries.

Blanche is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Carroll George, Sr. of Suffolk, VA; daughters and sons-in-law, Dollie and Eddie Wilson of Suffolk, VA, Brenda George of Chesapeake, VA, Carla and Robbie Joyce of Chesapeake, VA, Jinnie and Willie Holmes of Suffolk, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Shelly George of Norfolk, VA; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert J. Hitt, Sr., William T. and Judith G. Hitt, John D. Hitt, and Benjamin L. Hitt.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Rev. Johnny A. McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Friends may join the family Monday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
