Billy Wayne Tester, Sr., 65, of Suffolk, VA passed away February 29, 2008. He was born in Bristol, TN the son of Ruth B. Tester and the late Fred D. Tester. Billy was a graduate of Smithfield High School. He retired as a welder for Ciba Chemicals and attended Liberty Baptist Church.

Billy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lynda W. Tester of Suffolk, VA; mother, Ruth B. Tester; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Mark Carroll of Corapeake, NC, Cindy and Bill Overman of Sunbury, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Tester, Jr. and Sandra Tester of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Ashley Overman, Morgan Tester, Jake Overman, Macy Tester, and Blake Tester; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Bobby Powell of Smithfield, VA.


A memorial service will be held Monday, March 3, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. David Blevins officiating. Friends may also join the family other times at the residence.
