Betty Jane Kello Hardy, 85, passed away March 26, 2023.  She was born in Suffolk, VA the daughter of the late Samuel Thomas Kello, Jr. and Janie Umphlette Kello.  She was predeceased by her husband, Guy Lee Hardy, Sr.; son, Guy Lee Hardy, Jr.; son-in-law, R. Wayne Cobb; and great granddaughter, Danica Starr Thompson.  Ms. Betty shared her creativity and love for flowers to the Windsor community for numerous years as the owner of Hardy's Florist.  After retiring, her love for people carried over to working as a hostess at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  She was a member of the Windsor Baptist Church.  She served her community well through memberships in the Woman's Club of Windsor, Ladies Auxiliary of the Windsor Fire Department, Meals on Wheels, and the Red Hatter's Society.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Kathy Jo Hardy Cobb; son, Ricky Hardy; grandchildren, Kriston C. Thompson (C.J.), Jonathan Patrick Hardy (Lisa); great grandchildren, Justin, Chris, and Cayden; sister, Helen Kello Hill (Richard); and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Clyde Alderman and Rev. Tim Rawls officiating.  Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to Windsor Baptist Church and the Windsor Fire Department.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
