Bettie White Pierce, 76, passed away December 25, 2016. She was born in Gates Co, NC to the late Joe and Grace Ward White. Bettie is predeceased by her husband of over 37 years, James M. Pierce and brothers, Robert N. White and Colin G. White. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, Bethlehem Trio for 47 years, and the Melody Five Band for 30 years.

Bettie is survived by daughters, Sandra Leigh Gray and Tracey P. Harmon; grandchildren, Ricky Gray, Lauren Carr and her absolute pride and joy Victoria Harmon; great grandchildren, Nyomi and Cheyenne Gray; and three brothers. Victoria and Bettie enjoyed a very special bond and were sources of immense strength for each other.

A graveside service will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery, 1549 Holland Road, Suffolk, VA, 23434 with Rev. Lafayette Wilkins officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA, 23434.
