Bertha Gertrude Wood, 87, of Stuart, VA passed away on July 13, 2009. A native of Salem, Virginia, she was the daughter of Allie Morris Marsh and Daisy Beatrice Shaver. She was also predeceased by her husband, Paul E. Wood; a grandson, Jason Stiller; sisters, Cecilia Nunn and Rosetta Kirkman and a brother, George Marsh. Bertha was a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Monet Gay of Stuart; a son, George Wood of Hampton; grandchildren, Jessica Dunkley, Douglas Stiller, Ronald Gay Jr., Penny Moss, Joseph Wood, Jasmine Wood, Molly Wood; great grandchildren, Carlie Lorent, Faith Gay, Hannah Gay, Ronald Gay III; sister, Betty Randall and brothers, Robert Marsh, Earnest Marsh, Allie Marsh Jr. and James Marsh.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 East Virginia Beach Boulevard, Norfolk with Rev. Roger Johnson officiating. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com
