Obituary

Berkley Draper Blythe, 93, of Old Myrtle Road departed this life on November 13, 2017 at Consulate Healthcare of Windsor.  He was a native of Franklin, VA and the son of the late Lucius A. and Katie B. Blythe.  He was also the widower of Evelyn White Blythe.  He was a retiree of the Virginia Department of Agriculture.  He was a member of Colosse Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class.  A veteran of World War II, surviving first in the Philippines and reenlisting and serving in Germany.

Berkley was predeceased by a brother Morris Russell Blythe.  He is survived by his 3 nieces; cousins; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruby W. Weaver, Dora W. Aston, and Roger P. White.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Tim Webb officiating.  Burial will follow at Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
