Benjamin James Anderson, 51, passed away May 28, 2024.  He was born in Miami, FL the son of Virginia Maxine Anderson.  Ben was a United States Air Force veteran who went on to retire from the United States Navy as a Chief Logistics Specialist.  During his time in service he served in the Gulf War.  Following his retirement, he worked for the Department of the Navy as a Material Management Supervisor.  He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and was formerly an assistant Scout Master.

In addition to his mother, Ben is survived by his wife of 11 years, Kristie Westnedge Anderson; children, William Alan Anderson, Nathaniel James Anderson, Cameron Rush Anderson, Emma Kaylee Joyner, and Ryan Noah Joyner; mother-in-law, Barbara Babb; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Julie Turner and Michael Westnedge, Jr.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Friday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial with full military honors will be held Monday, June 10, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Albert G.
