Barbara Ann Wright Stevens, 85, passed away May 26, 2025.  She was born in Rock Hill, SC the daughter of the late Lewis Allen Wright, Sr. and Mary Ethel Wright.  She was predeceased by her grandson, Shawn Boyd; sons–in-law, Ray Boyd and Scott Jones; and sisters, Sylvia, Frances, and Yvonne.  Barbara retired after 30 years working as a lab technician from the Virginia Agriculture Department.  She loved her family dearly and loved spending time with them.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 69 years, Freddie Gene Stevens; daughters, Deborah D. Boyd, Sharon J. Stevens, and Dawn M. Stevens; grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer), Shannon (Mike), and Jake; great grandchildren, Michael, Stoney, Presley, and Jonah; and brother, Lewis Allen Wright, Jr.  (Judy).

A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Shannon Hines officiating.    Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 2 p.m.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
