Barbara Ann Riddick Griffin, 95, passed away November 4, 2023.  She was born in Suffolk, VA the daughter of the late Willie Edward Riddick and Maude Smith Riddick.  She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Judson Weldon Griffin; and siblings, Grace Salmon, Marion Byrd, Ryland Jack Riddick, and Charlie Riddick.  Barbara worked as a waitress for restaurants like Travelers Rest and the Dining Room.  She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Victor Jay Griffin (Robin Ormiston), Edward W. Britt, Jr. (Debbie Spivey); grandchildren, Ann Carter Griffin, and Edward W. Britt, III (Shannon); great grandchild, Harleigh Britt; sister, Betty R. Holland (Charlie); sister-in-law, Margaret Hundley Riddick and Carrie Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Michael D.
