Barbara Wrae Lane Bunch, 73, of Suffolk, VA passed away June 2, 2011. She was born in Hertford, NC the daughter of the late Ethel Trueblood Lane and Benjamin Franklin Lane. She was predeceased by her sisters, Bessie Lane Meads, Maggie Lane Perry, and Madie Lane Chappell. She formerly worked as a switchboard operator at Obici Hospital and was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dallas N. Bunch; daughters and sons-in-law, Terrie B. and David Rose of Yorktown, VA, Lori B. and Barry Harcum of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Amy Lynn Rose and Benjamin Evan Harcum; sisters, Henrietta Stallings of Hertford, NC, and Alice Bea Riddick of Belvidere, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday, June 6, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Jim George officiating. Burial will follow in Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Sunday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
