Barbara Ann Harrell Fanny, 83 of Suffolk peacefully passed away on August 24, 2023, at Autumn Care of Suffolk.  She is the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Mildred Carr Harrell.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Juanita (Nita) Marie Fanny Parker, her sister, Audrey Harrell Jernigan, and a great niece, Abigail Rose Jernigan.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Marvin Lee Fanny, Sr.; a son, Marvin Lee Fanny, Jr. of Chesapeake; a granddaughter, Brynn Elizabeth Parker; a grandson, Christian Duke Parker; a great granddaughter, Quinn Marie Lassiter; and a son-in-law, Gary D. Parker.  She is also survived by her sisters, Jean H. Harms of Alexandria, VA and JoAnn H. Jones of Ahoskie, NC, and a brother-in-law, Raymond T. Jernigan, Sr. of Yorktown. Other survivors include her husband's siblings and their families, James F. Fanny (Janet), Penny F. Satterfield (Billy), and Jimmy Fanny (Sharon). She also leaves to cherish her memory many nieces, nephews and cousins and their families.

The family would like to thank Trinity Hospice for the care and compassion provided to her in her final days.  The family would also like to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for her neighbors, Cheryl Sawyer, and Lourdes Weller, for their many years of faithful friendship and support.

To quote King Charles III, "May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest".

A visitation will be held, Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434 followed by a graveside service at Holly Lawn Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. with Rev.
