Aubrey Eugene Harrell, 88, of Suffolk, VA passed away March 7, 2007. He was born in Gates County, NC the son of the late Alice Rebecca Piland Harrell and Maxie Hayes Harrell. He was a U. S. Coast Guard veteran having served during WWII. Aubrey retired as a tea processor from Thomas J. Lipton Company. He was a life long member of Reynoldson Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was predeceased by his first wife, Frances Bracy Harrell; his daughter, Mildred Harrell; grandsons, George Christopher Williams and Eric Christopher Harrell; sisters and brothers.

Aubrey is survived by his wife, Irene Hunter Brinkley Harrell of Suffolk, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and G. T. Williams; son, A. Frank Harrell both of Gates, NC; step children, Judith B. Fischer, Susan B. and Dr. Charles H. Rawls both of Suffolk, Loretta B. and Tom Stepka of Fairfax, VA, Carroll H. and Joyce Brinkley of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Gregg Williams, Jason Harrell, and Deanna Harrell; great grandchildren, Christopher and Noah Williams; 12 step grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren; sister, Eva Barden of Manning, SC.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Reynoldson Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Todd Higginson and Rev. Billy Presley officiating. Burial will be private with military honors in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family Friday night from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Reynoldson Baptist Church and other times at the residence of Irene Harrell at 1071 Cypress Chapel Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434 or Rebecca Williams at 10 Boonetown Rd.
