Aubrey "Pete" Earl Rose, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 19, 2021.  He was born July 12, 1949 in North Carolina the son of the late Joseph Rudolph Rose and Blanche Clark Rose.  He was predeceased by his brothers, Willie Rose, Al Rose, Ordan Rose, and Joseph Rose, Jr.  Pete was a United States Army veteran having served during Vietnam.  He later went on to work and then retired as a welder from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.  After his retirement, he continued to work as bus driver for Nansemond Suffolk Academy.  Pete loved fishing, gardening, and cooking.

Pete is survived by his daughters, Dawn Shearin (William), and Brandy Coles (Gregory); grandchildren, Alexus, Taylor, Sierra, Ashlyn, and Logan; great grandchildren, Auri, Amora, Amirh; sisters, Geraldine Pope and Vergie Francis Ellis (Shorty); brother, Joseph Rose (Glenda); and numerous nieces and nephews.
