Arthur McCoy Warren, Sr., 81, of Suffolk, VA passed away on August 25, 2011. A native of Suffolk, he was the son of the late Clyde Jordan Warren and Della Rabey Warren Branton. He was also predeceased by his son, Arthur Warren, Jr. Arthur was an Employee for Ford Motor Company for 38 years and served his country through the Virginia National Guard. Arthur was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and the Taylor Brittle Sunday School Class. Arthur taught numerous Sunday school classes for 45 years. He was also a Deacon and past chairman, and served on numerous committees at his church, as well as the Laymen's Fellowship; a member of the Masonic Lodge #30 and Bethlehem Ruritan Club.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Ruby S. Warren; his sons and daughters-in-law: Wayne Warren of Grandy, NC; Michael and Edith Warren of Suffolk; Richard and Karen Warren of Chesapeake; and Daryl and Charlene Warren of Newsomes, VA; eight grandchildren and spouses: Brandy Warren, Shamra and Michael Everett, Kristen and Michael Gardner, Nathaniel Warren, Ashley Warren, Stephanie Warren, Stephen Warren and Chelsea Warren; three great grandchildren: Octavia Everett, Blaise Gardner and Cody Gardner; and brother-in-law, Jack O. Salmon and wife, Virginia.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Christian Church with Rev. Dr. Reggie Warren officiating.Burial will be in church cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday evening at the funeral home from 7 – 8 p.m. and other times at the residence.
