Arthur Wesley Moore, Jr., 79, passed away May 4, 2019.  He was born in Nansemond County, VA the son of the late Arthur Wesley Moore, Sr. and Florence Skinner Moore.  He was predeceased by his wife, Katie Bounds Moore.  Wesley was a United States National Guard veteran.  He retired as a long-time farmer.  He was a member of Liberty Spring Christian Church and was also a member of the Suffolk Moose Lodge and charter member of the Liberty Spring Ruritan Club.

Wesley is survived by his sons, Arthur "Art" W. Moore, III (Carla), Gary M. Moore (Shirley); grandchildren, Barrett, Mitch, Courtney, and Myranda; sister, Jane Womack; loving companion, Sheila Scott; and special friend, Trever Gardner.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Spring Christian Church with Rev. Res Spears, Rev. Tommy Reynolds, and Rev. Walter Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may join the family for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the church and other times at the residence.  Memorial donations may be made to the Liberty Spring Ruritan Club or the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com .
