Arthur Nurney, Jr. passed away at the hospital after battling with cancer on January 25, 2021. He was born in Nansemond County VA July 11, 1962 to the late Lou Ellen and Arthur Lee Nurney, Sr. He worked as an Electrician/Foreman for It's Electric of Chesapeake, VA for 15 years. He also did odd jobs for others who needed him at any given time.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Teresa Nurney, of 27 years, two sons, Gary Groves and Raymond Nurney; sister, Linda Lathrop; a niece, Crystal Jones (Michael Jones II); a nephew, Jonathon Lathrop (Nicole); a great niece, Allayna Jones; and three great nephews, MJ, Mark, and Mason Lathrop.

Due to the pandemic Arthur's Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, February 22, 2021 in the parking lot at Wilroy Baptist Church, 306 Williams Rd., Suffolk, VA with Pastor Tim Rawls officiating.
