Arthur "Cook" Gary Miller, 68, of Suffolk, Virginia passed away on October 10, 2022. Son of the late Howard Kenneth Miller and Freda Lillian Cobb Miller, Arthur proudly served his country as a sailor in the U.S. Navy and retired as an E7, Chief and a Sgt. at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail.

Arthur was a member of the Tidewater Navy Sports Officials Association the Navy Chief Association.

In addition to his parents, Arthur is predeceased by his grandson, I.V. Simms, Jr. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 41 years, Judith Hall Miller, Children, Shanta Gregory, Scheneka Gregory, Corinne Miller Powell and Cory Miller. Grandchildren, Sean and Kairi and siblings, Yvonne Gray, Sylvia Jones, Nancy Miller, Howard Miller (Rowena), Donald Miller (Pamela), Michael Miller, Steven Miller, Tyrone Miller (Candice) and Robert Miller.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory. A Graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Virginia with Deacon William Hutchings officiating.
