Arthur Peter Crofts, 92, passed away December 9, 2018.  He was born in Norwich, CT the son of the late Alfred Henry Crofts and Alice Gertrude Larkham Crofts.  He was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla Elizabeth Bailey Crofts; daughter, Penelope Crofts; and son-in-law, Rev. Dr. Willis I. Dowling.  Arthur was a United States Navy veteran having served during WWII.  He later went on to own and operate Avicroft Hatchery, work as an electrician, and eventually retire as a postal carrier for the United States Post Office.

Arthur is survived by his daughter, Heather Dowling; sons, Roger Crofts and Peter Crofts; grandchildren and their spouses, Ben (Marcie), Bethany (Dan), Anna, Jennifer (Sean), Nathan, and Rebecca; and great grandchildren, Grace, Josiah, Noelle, Paityn, and Lillianna.

Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 7-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434.  His inurnment will take place at Union Cemetery in North Stonington, CT at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Stonington Grange c/o Nancy Weismuller, 273 Wintechog Hill Rd., North Stonington, CT 06359.  Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
