Arnold McCoy Parrish, age 92, born in Elbert, WV and passed away on January 11, 2025. He was the ninth of eleven children born to the late Mary and Robert Parrish.

Arnold is survived by his wife, Gerry, of 67 years; son, James and wife Carol Parrish; daughter, Susan and husband Allan Oakham all of Carrsville, VA.

Arnold retired from Norfolk & Western Railroad and worked for Isle of Wight County.  He was a member of Windsor Congregational Christian Church and Martha S. Persons Sunday School Class, and the American Legion, Post 0164.

He loved bluegrass music and played the banjo and guitar.  He also loved to make and repair stringed instruments.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Windsor Congregational Christian Church, Windsor, VA with Rev. Sam Askew officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be private at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
